PrestaShop: assisted mode and module
We connect PrestaShop in assisted mode — activation is guided with you, not self-service like Shopify. The wizard detects store version and shows only safe variants for it. You decide what the bot may write back to the store later.

How connection works
Data flows through two channels:
- Webservice — base channel for order and catalog sync. The address is usually
derived from the store URL (typically ending in
/api). - CallBot module — installed on the store side; adds real-time events so sync is faster than polling alone.
During setup we detect PrestaShop version (1.6, 1.7, 8.x, or 9.x). When the version is not public, we start from the safest variant and you can pick the version manually.
Integration variants
| Variant | For whom | Characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| Module + Webservice recommended | Standard, current stores | Real-time events from module + full sync and backfill via Webservice |
| Webservice / polling only | Stores where the module cannot be installed | Polling and backfill without module; slower sync |
| Technical support / legacy | PrestaShop 1.6 and heavily customized stores | Team-led setup; no promise of full order editing |
Write-back to the store (limitations)
After a call CallBotAgent can write order status back to the store — e.g. mark confirmed, callback needed, or no contact. But:
Every write runs only after a permissions test on the store. If Webservice or the module does not confirm capability, the action is skipped with a visible reason — we never promise full order editing blindly. You can expand write scope later when the store confirms more permissions.
Activation statuses
After you request integration the PrestaShop connector moves through states visible in the panel (Integrations and launch checklist):
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Request received, awaiting activation |
| Verification in progress | Checking version, module, and Webservice permissions |
| Action required | Fix needed on your side (e.g. Webservice URL) |
| Active | Connection works; data syncing |
How to start
In the Integration step choose PrestaShop and provide the store address — we prepare version detection, Webservice URL, and variant recommendation. Older or heavily customized stores use the assisted variant and we schedule a short onboarding call. An active connector is a go-live condition — see Store readiness and go-live.
Refreshing the catalog
You can manually refresh the PrestaShop product catalog from Products when you want immediate store changes.
